Outro dia li declarações que me chamaram a atenção.
Bem diferentes as duas visões.
Perder? Como? Não é nosso, recordam-se? Foi apenas um empréstimo!”

A loan

There is a passage in Genesis 31 which speaks of a father who when was told that his son had died "... tore his clothes, dressed in mourning and wept his son's death for a long time. All his sons and daughters tried to console him, but he refused the solace and said: In mourning for my son I will go down to the grave. "This is what many of us did, including myself, at first. As time goes by and as we groow in faith we conclude that this is not the way.Life is, above all, a an individual loan. But when we have children it is difficult to think individually. That's because when we are pregnant our connection is complete and we are, in fact, for some time, two in one. Perhaps because of that even after the birth of this beloved being that we kindly nurture, cultivate and educate with all our love and dedication, we continue thinking that we can not exist without him.The other day I read statements that caught my attention. The model Gisele Bundchen said to a magazine that "Children are our most valuable asset, we need to take care of them." Another was from the actress Gwyneth Paltrow: "Our job is to prepare children for the world."Well different the two visions. The first affirmative exposes the common failure that is to think that our children are ours. They are indeed valuable but are not assets and are not ours. The second is more realistic which is to prepare children for the world. I think that every mother intimately mix things but the truth is that the children we had are not ours. There is a passage in the book of the Old Testament, in Samuel 20, that tells King David's reaction when he learned of the death of his son: "Then David arose from the ground, washed, anointed himself and changed his clothes. Then came home, told his servants to serve meal and ate." It is an attitude of reaction, get up and live. That's what we need to do!After all it was only a loan from God, as the writer José Saramago says on the poem Children are for  the World "... child is a being who loaned us for a crash course in how to love someone besides ourselves, changing our worst faults to give the best examples and learn to be brave. That's right! Being a parent is the greatest act of courage that someone may have, because expose yourself to all sorts of pain, mainly from uncertainty to be acting correctly and the fear of losing something beloved. Losing? How? It is not ours, they remember? It was only a loan! "

Suffering is Inversely proportional to Faith

I wished my friends a new year of great peace and achieve peace is definitely what I want personally ... I consider this to be the greatest gifts anyone can receive, but to win the peace, faith is fundamental. Faith is indeed the path that leads to peace and peace conquer the inheritance that Jesus left us.

Faith is a word with Latin origin "fides" which means "trust," "belief," "credibility." It is faith that allows us to believe that our beloved children are watching over us and one day we will meet. To believe that leads us to peace that we so desperately need. Therefore, the greater the faith the less is the suffering.

We passed the largest of all the sufferings and therefore our faith should be even higher, that sort that  transpose mountains. This is necessary and possible now that we know the greatest love of the world, that kind of love that is unbeatable.

I enjoyed a quote from the book I just read "Living with Faith" (Viver com Fé) by Patricia and Cissa Guimarães, which says: "... Faith resides in the heart ... And it is only when we can unite mind and heart we can make the fear of the unknown get away and can put ourselves in the here and now. "

Today faith is my companion and my best friend. Thanks to her I bravely resist the comings and goings of nostalgia and of my strength. Believing, having faith I accepted reality and thus regain the energy to continue my mission. But wherever I go I carry in my heart my beautiful boy with green eyes, because my love for him is eternal.

"... Life is really very fragile thing, a silly, an irrelevance,

face of the eternity, of the love who you love ". "

A fé hoje é minha companheira e minha melhor amiga.

Do not ask why but for what

Today I went to Mass cebreting one month for the new life of the son of a dear friend of mine and a reading from the Book of Wisdom (4.7 to 15) I want to transcribe to you: "As for the righteous, even though he dies before the age, will enjoy home. The honor of old age does not come from a long life as life is not measured by the number of years. But wisdom is what makes the times of white hair, is a pure life that takes account of old age. He pleased God and was loved by Him, so God tranfered him from the middle of sinners where he lived. Was rapt so that malice will not corrupt the feeling nor the cunning pervertesse the soul: because the allure of addiction throws a veil over the moral beauty, and movement passions of a naive soul. Having come quickly to an end, come a long career. His soul was pleasant to the Lord so He withdrew quickly from the midst of wickedness. People who see this way of doing things do not understand, and not reflect this, that God's favor and his mercy are for his elect, and their assistance is among the faithful. "

This message speaks by in itself. It explains and console. We need to understand what to do to get over the pain  transforming it increasingly in love. But this is only possible to achieve with the strengthening of faith. After all we have an obligation to grow as people after what we went through. The pain was not huge enough to overcome the love we feel.

That in 2013 we can all see clearly and with the grace of God. May God increase the faith that comforts and grant us peace! May the light of the Lord our God be with us all the days of the new year so we can continue fulfilling our mission while expect our children happy in eternity.

New year, new life

New year could mean new life but being new is not synonymous of being good. However, a new year is a chance to be reborn, to do the best we can with what we are today.

To start with, the best thing to do is surrender to God and let Him be in control. Everything is transient. This new year is just a new opportunity to strengthen faith.

As for me I will try to do just that: live in the present and cultivate peace in the knowledge that my angel is with God and holding the hand of the Virgin Mary, the greatest example of determination, obedience to God and faith from a woman.

So when midnight comes I will closely ask my angel-pianist to play for me Maria, Maria, by the brazilian singer and songwritter Milton Nascimento, because as the lyrics says after all:... "You must  always dream, because who brings who brings in the body this brand has the strange habit of having faith in life... "

Much Peace in 2013!

Ano novo, vida nova

My great friend

This year I lost my great friend, my firstborn, my first dream as a mother. I lost my confidant, my artist, my talented pianist. I lost who patiently listened to my complaints and who nursed me when I cried. Because of him I was interested in chess tournaments, football games, concerts and piano music. This year I lost much of my reason for living and I rebelled. I asked for more... More progress, more wins, more joys. I lost everything ... I lost you and I won sorrow and defeat.I always considered myself a good person and therefore I did not want to believe in what happened at first. I think I did not deserve it. Much less you my dear son, always so good and sweet. I felt badly betrayed and wronged. I rebelled ....I questioned values ... I cried rivers of tears ... I saw the harshness of life as I had never seen before. I spent time reviewing concepts and thinking that nothing was worth anything. I tried to get a response, a why. No answer came to me considering only the facts. I asked God in the depths of my being. I gave Him a "scolding". After all where was Him when my beloved son was gone and left us here desperate and helpless.I asked several times about the existence of God. I had doubts. I am sorry about my son, my husband, my other children and also felt sorry for myself for being so lost and with no direction.I tried to answer my questions by reading the bible. I began to read the Bible daily and following from the Old Testament, something I had never done before. Some days ago I read a story in which Albert Einstein criticized the bible as he considered the stories reported there naive. But even being considered genius, not everything he says can be considered absolute truth. He discovered the fundamental laws of physics but like any one of us was human and therefore far from perfect.Stephen William Hawking is a British theoretical physicist and cosmologist and one of the most eminent scientists of today. In a recent documentary about the origin of the universe and the existence of God, he asserts that there is not necessarily a God who created the universe and that the universe may have arisen from nothing. He disputes so that someone or something has started all that exists and is therefore in charge. Just as the universe is infinite and inexplicable to us mere mortals  I do not think that any human being, however enlightened it may seem, has an explanation for everything. In addition, live without believing in God, especially after experiencing what we experienced, makes life much more difficult because you lose the main argument for living. Hinders up the hope of a life and a future meeting. Yet there are people who live like this without believing in a higher being that controls everything and loves us infinitely.Trying to prove by contradiction, that is how theorems are build, then we assume it to be true, in other words, suppose that God does not exist and that there is nothing and no one in charge. So we have an incentive not to obey rules or help anyone and that would make the world even more difficult to live and meaningless.Yet, if God did not exist, if we die and end of line, then we are nothing and all that exists and all the beauty of nature would be the result of a cell coincidence and everything happens by chance including ourselves. If we are merely the result of a huge coincidence, just like any living being, we are nobody. Yet we insist on love, that feeling that comes from nowhere and that is unexplainable and that no other living being can feel. Oops!! Here is a contradiction! We are not like any other living being, we are different because we love. By love we are able to give our lives. No other living being does that! But are we even alone? We are born, we live and just like any plant or animal? Well we have proved that we are not like any plant and animal because love sets us apart from the rest. This likely to be more akin to a complex and higher person. But if one can not prove with our meager intelligence that God exists, it is impossible to prove that He does not exist.Furthermore what about so many minds who have dedicated thier lives for centuries and centuries? Men and women considered cults studied and study, believed and believe in the existence of God in command and in his presence in their lives. Then why not believe?Today marks the day of the coming of the Son of God. He brought us this breath, performed miracles and still does, so when God allows. Do not need more proof than that. The Gospel may have been written in a time of traditions and in a a setting of a different logic compared with the one we live today but its teachings are valid for any time and restore and give encouragement. Jesus, the Son of God, that God so doubted and questioned today, is indeed our greatest consolation. He lived and came to us "nothing" as Hawking say. But nothing can be all because the universe exists. And God is greater than our fragile understanding. The son of God himself and this is our gift and our hope. Thanks to him we have reasons to live and whom to thank the existence of the universe. But the truth is that I lost my best friend this year. But time is only a convention and as space is infinite, infinite is my love for him. I prefer to believe that my good friend is happy in the company of the greatest of all the Friends.
