Once from the top of my sadness
When the abyss was in me and I thought it would not come out
A friend writer told me it was good that children were well formed because they would be ready for missions in heaven.
I found the explanation satisfactory at that moment of so much torment as I wondered why so many studies, so many years taking to school,
Learning other languages, different sports, physics, chemistry, math, Portuguese, piano, trumpet ...
For what? To die on the beach?
The truth is my son was living his moment and was preparing for a future that did not come to us ...
We did not have this opportunity.
Maybe that's why our youngest daughter's graduation yesterday filled us with even disproportionate emotion.
Now we know well that completing a cycle and winning a graduation is a victory, a blessing and a privilege.
From heaven he is certainly radiant with our joy
And hopefully he is using everything he learned here and more
I can even hear him playing Pomp and Circumstance

Uma vez, do alto da minha tristeza

Quando o abismo estava em mim e achava que dele não sairia

Uma amiga escritora me disse era bom que filhos fossem bem formados pois eles estariam prontos para missões no céu.

Achei a explicação satisfatória naquele momento de tanto tormento em que questionava o por que de tantos estudos, de tantos anos levando para escola,

Aprendendo outros idiomas, diferentes esportes, aulas de física, química, matemática, português, piano, corneta...

Para quê? Para morrer na praia?

A verdade é meu filho estava vivendo o momento dele e se preparava para um futuro que não veio para nós...

Não tivemos essa oportunidade.

Talvez por isso a formatura de nossa filha caçula ontem nos encha de emoção até desproporcional

É que sabemos bem que concluir um ciclo e conquistar uma formatura é uma vitória, uma benção e um privilégio.

Do céu ele certamente está radiante com nossa alegria

E tomara que esteja utilizando tudo que aprendeu por aqui e muito mais

Até consigo ouvi-lo ele tocando Pompa e Circunstância
