Game Theory

Dear Friends, strengthen the faith is the way to achieve peace accepting things you can not change.
But having faith does not mean  to abdicate reason. Rather, faith and reason may be claimed as allies as the philosopher and theologian Thomas Aquinas said.
I am a professor of economics and ask permission for, based on reason, show the path of faith, using as argument one of the fastest-growing areas in microeconomics today is that game theory.
Game Theory is actually a branch of applied mathematics that studies strategic situations and where players choose different actions in an attempt to improve their outcome or "gain."
The first formal publication on Game Theory, date 1838, in Researches into the Mathematical Principles of the Theory of Wealth, by the French philosopher and mathematician Antoine Augustin Cournot.
However, the North American mathematician, John von Neumann, is considered the founder of game theory. In 1944 he released The Theory of Games and Economic Behavior in co-authorship with the Austrian economist Oskar Morgensten.
Game theory assumes that people act rationally and thus seek strategies of decision such that the result depends not only on ones own strategy but also the strategies of other players involved in a game.
A game consists of players, available strategies for these players and a reward or payment for each combination of strategy.
One of the most famous games is the "prisoner's dilemma" which was presented by mathematician Albert Tucker in 1953 and has many implications in the study of cooperation and non-cooperation between individuals.
The situation is as follows: two individuals are suspected of committing a crime. The sheriff  tells each separately:
If you do not confess and the other also does not confess, we can not do anything because we have no evidence against you and after two days you two will be released. But if you do not confess and the other confesses, he will be free  because of the cooperation with the police and you will be 20 years in prison.
On the other hand if you confess and the other does not confess, you will be free from prison  and your accomplice will be 20 years in prison. If both you and the other suspect confess, both will be jailed for two years.
Confess means not cooperate with the partner and not confessing means cooperate with the partner and not confessing means cooperate.

The other suspect cooperates with you
The other suspect does not cooperate with you
You cooperate with the other suspect

2 days, 2 days

20 years, 0
You do not cooperate with the other suspect

0, 20 years
2 years, 2 years

Using this same principle, we can decide whether or not we have faith in God. Watch the match below:

Exist
Does not exist
You believe
You go to heaven
You  have the comfort in life
You  do not believe

You go to hell
Nothing happens

Note that if you believe in God and cultivate the faith  one of these two results you'll get:
If God does exist you will go to heaven when called from this world and there will meet with your beloved.
If God does not exist, nonetheless believe and have faith is a rational option because as a result you will have the consolation in life in difficult times;
But if you do not believe and God really exists you are doomed to go to hell or  nothing happens.
What should be your strategy? Believing in God is a rational strategy and is the equilibrium outcome of the game. Therefore it is rational to have faith! Paradoxical as it may seem.
So let us prepare, strengthen our faith and believe that our loved ones are well. One day we will meet again!
“For those who have faith, no explanation is necessary. For those without faith, no explanation is possible." St. Thomas Aquinas

Inside of Me

Sometimes I hear so much noise that I want to leave me
Sometimes encounter the greatest silence then I lean back and sleep
Inside me now I know that love is greater
And the greatest love from me is for God
Now I know only Him stays forever
With Him I can feel silence inside
This calm that now I care
The exterior does not attract me any more
Inside me I find who I seek more
Freedom with security
and security with reliance on unconditional love
Love that is forever in me!

Lá Dentro de Mim

As vezes ouço o maior barulho e tenho vontade de sair de mim
Outras vezes encontro o maior silêncio então me recosto e durmo

Rationality

They say that man is a rational being. Since Max Weber or even before ever existed texts explaining or trying to explain what is to be rational. For some different attitudes may seem irrational as to be rational an action must have logic.
I am microeconomics professor and the whole basis of economic theory is based on rationality. From a consumer point of view, rational being is always prefer more than less and rational producer's point of view is to maximize profits. But then, what to think of the people that come off of any material good and deliver all his life to others as volunteers, or objectify without any profit. By chance would these be unreasonable people? No way. The rationale for such people is very much alive and the decision was very well thought out.
Exactly for being rational I decided to firmly believe that my son is fine. I do not say this lightly. I base myself in the Bible, a record made by people who witnessed the greatest mystery and the greatest blessing given to us: the promise of eternal life of our Lord Jesus Christ.
You who read what I write can say hey, and other religions that do not believe it? And what about those who do not believe anything? In Brazil, about 3.8% of the population, i.e., more than two million Brazilians have no religion.
Such persons must have some rationality to make such decisions. In fact it's up to each person to believe or not believe, and God can exist or not exist. But the fact is that if He exists and  you believed, you will as a reward in future life live in heaven and there have the reunion with your beloved that went before you. In this life you are already daily presented with the comfort and hope of eternal life.
So think like seems more rational because it makes much more sense.

Não quero me machucar

My son would Love to be here

I would love him to be here too
Today we sing piano songs
But  he is not playing
We are here with wonderful visits that he would love
He would play for them
I miss my son like no other people do
But I keep living, laughing, crying and singing
Living is now different
Laughing does not have the same happiness as before
Crying has always him
Singing is not that good as with him
But I keep trying
I do not visit places I used to
I got traumas that I prefer not to face
I don’t want to hurt myself
Life is beautiful anyway
So beautiful that made me have my son!

There will always be a new beginning

Beginning is always the start of something new
It may be a new one does not want.
No one wanted anything new or a fresh start like this
It was not our choice, it's just what we got

The decision now is how to face the beginning ... and live with it.
I do not like this new, but rather what I had.
I do not appreciate this new beginning.
So I have revolted many times. That was not what I wanted,
not as I thought and nor what I planned and expected

Found amid anger that my revolt decision
Was dead and feeding the evil in me
There is not what I wanted, thought, planned and expected
I returned, other than I was in all but love

The daily decision is how to face the new life
I did not want, did not think, not planned nor expected
I have chosen to believe that one day we will meet again
I thank Jesus for his promises that support me

Every new day I look in the mirror and tell me:
Hey, you, live in peace! And so I start again ...
And stand the pain. Even on a Sunday, 15th.

Já me revoltei muitas vezes.

A cada novo dia me olho no espelho e me digo:
Hei, você, viva em paz! E assim recomeço...
E suporto a dor. Mesmo num domingo, 15.
