God is One
I'm in Pakistan(*). Me and my husband were invited by a couple of Pakistanis friends who live in my city in Brazil. He is a professor at the same university that I am and soon after the departure of our beloved Iel the couple, who annually visit their family, convinced us to attend the wedding of a niece.
We thought it would be a good opportunity to know a different culture and stay a little “out” of our daily life. I confess that I am really enjoying here but I keep remembering every day of my beloved Iel as well as my other kids and family and that could never be different. Who does love never forgets being close or very distant.
Pakistan, or officially the Islamic Republic of Pakistan is located in South Asia and is bordered by Afghanistan and Iran in the west, China to the northeast, India to the east beyond being washed by the Arabian Sea to the south. With a population of about 176 million is the sixth most populous country in the world with an area is 881,640 km ². It is a multilingual country being english is the official language throughout the country and urdu the national language. The country is a federal parliamentary republic that has Islam as the official religion. The muslins account for about 96% of the population, but there are Hindu 1.9% and Christians 1.6%. The Pakistani society greatly values traditional family values and I am having the opportunity to see this up close.

In fact Pakistan hás surprised me. It is a huge
country with a beautiful landscape and natural wealth but the deferent
languages and the infiltration of terrorists are a bad for the reputation of
this country.
The greater city, Karachi, is located at the south of
the country and hás suffered many attempts motivated by internal political
disputes. But in the cities located
close to the frontier with Afeganistan are reported with frequency, terrorist
attacks promoted by extremist muslins groups.
Islam, the religion of the muslins, was founded by Muhammad on 622 after Christ and according to Islam, everything is planned
and scheduled in advance. Christianity which strongly characterizes Western
society, consider God our Creator and Jesus Christ is his son.
The two religions were originated in the Middle East, Christianity and Islam, and have similarities:
a) are monotheists;
b) have sacred books (the Holy Bible for Christians and for Muslims the Quran);
c) preach social justice, respect and love of neighbor;
d) believe in eternal life;
e) Jerusalem is a city sacred to both Christians and Muslims;
f) Abraham is a prophet in the two religions;
Christians and Muslins condemn suicide as a mortal sin and thus the famous "suicide bombers" that cause so much damage to the reputation of this and other countries in the area, commit sin. But because they belong to extremist groups feed ideas of vengeance and recompense case perish in the name of Allah.

Both Christians and Musins have in common what we most need: the
certainty of the existence of God and that we will meet in eternal life with
our loved ones who preceded us.
The territory of the present-day Pakistan belonged to British India and was founded in 1947. However the share of British India led to riots in India and Pakistan that resulted in the Indo-Pakistani War in 1948 with the occupation of India by about two-thirds of the regions of Jammu and Kashmir. The declaration of the Republic took place in 1956 and in 1965 the country faced a second war with India. In 1971 there was the break-up of part of its original territory, East Pakistan, which became an independent country named Bangladesh.
The direction of the country has alternated between civilian and military. Between 1972 and 1977, civilians have ruled the country under the leadership of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, until he was deposed and later sentenced to death. Having assumed instead a military president in 1988, was replaced by Benazir Bhutto, daughter of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, that was elected to the post of Prime Minister of Pakistan and was assassinated in 2007. In 1999 there was a coup in which General Pervez Musharraf took power, and self appointed president. But in 2008, Musharraf resigned as president of the country, which after indirect elections, elected Asif Ali Zardari, widower of Benazir Bhutto, who is the current president.
